The Immigration Policy Center has released a report on the impact of legal representation on immigrants. It points out that nearly half of all undocumented immigrants manage their removal proceeding without the benefit of a lawyer. Further, undocumented immigrants may not be taking advantage of current policies, such as prosecutorial discretion, which may greatly help an immigrant’s case.
