What is a post-nuptial agreement?

Similar to a prenuptial agreement, a post-nuptial agreement sets out the terms of ownership and control of a couple’s existing; as well as; future assets, debts as well as earnings during the marriage, and the terms of the division of assets and debts should the marriage end in divorce or death. The difference is that it is signed by the couple after the marriage has been entered into rather than prior to the marriage.
