Geraldine Arruela concentrates her practice on immigration and domestic relations matters. She represents clients facing immigration issues related to removal (deportation), family based immigration, adjustment of status, waivers, naturalization, asylum, U-visas, and VAWA self-petitions. She also represents clients facing divorce and family law related matters.
Geraldine attended law school to pursue a career in immigration law. In law school, she was the president of the Latino Law Student Association and interned at various nonprofit organizations as a way to serve and support the community in a meaningful way. Prior to joining the firm, Geraldine worked for a boutique law firm in the Chicago area concentrating on immigration law, domestic relations, business law and estate planning. While there she represented clients in immigration law and divorce and family law related issues.
